The Story of Our Name
We derive our inspiration from the Minoans, a Bronze Age Aegean civilization on the island of Crete which flourished from c. 2700 to c. 1450 BC. The name "Minoan" derives from the mythical King Minos who inhabited the site at Knossos with the labyrinth and the Minotaur. The Minoans were notable for their large palaces featuring elaborate plumbing systems. During the Minoan Era extensive waterways were built providing and distributing water, and relocating sewage and storm water. The Minoans used technologies such as wells, cisterns, aqueducts, and water treatment devices.
The Minoan Group strives to continue the pursuit of delivering reliable water services by leveraging the best available technologies.
